Today Willie has been beyond us for 10 years, John for 41, Anto for 6, Mammy for 7.
Willie for me is a big marker, I wanted to be in Boston with Maureen and Liam as myself and Anto and Tony and Peter and Owen were there in 2014. That was a year before he passed.
Funningly enough that was the 30 year anniversary of John’s death.
But today is a celebration of Willie and his legacy and his life. I got to spend lots of time with Delilah this summer and honest to god, there was plenty a story from Willies childhood shared with her, plus Willies nephews too.
So share your memories here, your thoughts even your emojjs…..let him live on in the memories of him and in the kids that look and act so like him.
I know I’m gonna have a wee bit of a dance tonight !
